  • I get why people start by asking “How much will a radiant heating system cost me?” - IMHO, it’s still the wrong question… #
  • Pricing a hydronic heat system is a process - it starts with a heat load calculation, it has too… #
  • Once you have your heat load calcs, you can factor in surface temperature, floor coverings, spacing, fluid temperatures, etc. #
  • Wrap up the hydronic heat system design with flow calculations, tubing diameter and lengths, no. of loops and pump requirements #
  • Only then can you truly offer up a realistic price for radiant heat based on the project - anything else is a rough estimate at best… #
  • For 97% of all hydronic radiant heat systems I design, I recommend using 1/2″ Type-A PEX with O2 barrier… #
  • Stop by our hydronic heating booth - Seattle Home Show this Saturday & Sunday - If you’re nearby & want to know about radiant heat… #
  • http://pm5q0.tk - Technologies that could change the world energy picture… #
  • is at the Seattle Home Show for today and tomorrow - Come ask me about radiant heat… #
